Meet The MPUV Multi-Purpose Utility Vehicle

A 3,500W mid-drive utility e-bike engineered to haul, work, patrol, and ride further than anything in its class. USA-built frame. 350+ lb cargo capacity. Mission-ready out of the box.

3,500W Mid Drive USA-Made Frame 250 lb Rear · 100 lb Front Mid-Step Cargo

The MPUV is the most versatile e-bike HPC has ever built — a heavy-duty utility platform engineered for riders who need their bike to actually do work.

Debuted at the Sea Otter Classic to industry-wide attention, the MPUV (Multi-Purpose Utility Vehicle) is a brand-new, ground-up platform from Hi Power Cycles. It's built around a hand-assembled USA-manufactured frame, a 3,500W mid-drive powertrain, a mid-step utility geometry, and a cargo system that turns it into a legitimate replacement for a small truck, side-by-side, or fleet vehicle.

Whether you're a contractor hauling tools across a job site, a hunter loading out a buck, a public-safety agency on patrol, or a homeowner finally ditching the second car — the MPUV is engineered to be the one bike that does it all.

What Is The MPUV?

The MPUV is HPC's purpose-built utility e-bike — a mid-step electric cargo bike engineered for high-load, high-power, real-world work. It's not a city cruiser with a milk crate strapped to the back. It's a platform designed from day one around the question: "What if a bike could replace a vehicle?"

At its core is a 3,500W peak mid-drive system delivering crushing torque for steep grades, heavy loads, and trail terrain. The frame is hand-built in the United States — alongside our Revolution, Scout, and Titan flagships — giving us complete control over geometry, weld quality, and powdercoat finish. The mid-step layout makes mounting and dismounting easy whether you're 5'2" or 6'4", in tactical gear, or carrying gear. And the cargo geometry is engineered around 250 lb of rear capacity and 100 lb of front capacity — 350 lb of payload before you even sit down.

Beyond the powertrain, the MPUV is highly adaptable. It accepts everything from 27.5 x 3.0" plus tires up to 26 x 4.5" fat tires, so the same platform can be set up for paved patrol routes, gravel logistics, soft sand, snow, or backcountry hunting access. A full accessory ecosystem — racks, panniers, lighting, mounting solutions, and mission-specific kits — is in development for launch alongside the platform.

Core Features

01

3,500W Mid-Drive Power

Peak power output that handles 30%+ grades fully loaded. Mid-drive placement keeps weight centered and low for predictable handling under cargo.

02

350 lb Total Cargo

250 lb rear rack and 100 lb front rack capacity — plus the rider. Engineered to replace utility runs that currently require a truck or SxS.

03

USA-Manufactured Frame

The MPUV joins the Revolution, Scout, and Titan as one of HPC's flagship US-built platforms. Designed, engineered, and welded on American soil.

04

Mid-Step Geometry

Low standover height and accessible step-through for fast mounting in gear, with operators of any size — from 5'2" to 6'4"+.

05

Adaptable Tire Fitment

Runs 27.5 x 3.0" plus tires up to 26 x 4.5" fat tires. Reconfigure the same chassis for pavement, gravel, snow, sand, or backcountry use.

06

HPC USA-Built Battery

Powered by HPC's exclusive USA-assembled battery systems with industry-leading energy density and the same 3-year warranty backing every HPC build.

07

Mission-Ready Accessories

Full accessory lineup launching with the platform — cargo systems, mounting hardware, lighting, and mission-specific configurations for every use case.

08

Class 1, 2, or 3 Configurable

Configure the MPUV to meet Class 1, 2, or 3 requirements based on your state and use case. Off-road and closed-course configurations also available.

Who The MPUV Is Built For

The MPUV was engineered to be the most adaptable platform HPC has ever offered. It's built for riders, operators, and agencies who need a bike that performs across multiple use cases — and who refuse to settle for an off-the-shelf overseas e-bike that wasn't designed for the work.

01 / CONSUMER

Cargo & Family Riders

Drop the second car. Run errands, haul groceries, take the kids, and bring your gear — without sacrificing power, range, or build quality.

02 / TRADES

Contractors & Tradesmen

Tools, materials, and supplies across job sites and campuses. 350 lb payload capacity replaces gas vehicle runs and cuts fuel costs to zero.

03 / DEFENSE

Military & Special Operations

HPC has a verified history of sales to US Special Forces, Army Corps of Engineers, and US Air Force. The MPUV expands HPC's mission-capable portfolio under GSA contract #47QSMS24D005F.

04 / LE & PATROL

Law Enforcement

Silent patrol capability, all-terrain mobility, and equipment-carrying capacity for community policing, park patrol, campus security, and tactical response units.

05 / EMERGENCY

Fire Rescue & EMS

Wildland access, festival and event response, beach and trail rescue, and rapid deployment in environments where vehicles can't reach. Cargo capacity for medical and rescue gear.

06 / GOV

Government & Federal Agencies

Park rangers, border operations, infrastructure inspection, and federal fleet applications. Made-in-USA platform meets domestic preference requirements.

07 / OUTDOORS

Hunters & Overlanders

Backcountry access without the engine noise. Pack in camp, pack out a quartered animal. The 4.5" fat tire option opens up snow, sand, and soft ground use.

08 / FLEETS

Commercial & Fleet Operators

Last-mile delivery, campus fleets, resort and ranch operations, and anywhere fuel, parking, and maintenance costs are eating into margins.

Built On American Soil — Frame & Battery

The MPUV joins HPC's Revolution, Scout, and Titan as one of our flagship US-manufactured platforms. While most of the e-bike industry sources anonymous overseas frames and ships them in cardboard boxes, HPC designs, engineers, and builds on American soil. Every battery is assembled in our Simi Valley, California facility. Every bike is hand-built start-to-finish by a single skilled technician — no rotation, no anonymous factory line. One Man. One Bike. No Exceptions.

Why The MPUV Matters

The utility e-bike segment has exploded in the last three years — but most of what's hit the market is the same overseas chassis with a different sticker. Underpowered hub motors, undersized batteries, and cargo capacities that fall apart the moment you actually load them up.

The MPUV is HPC's answer to that problem. We've spent 18+ years and 20,000+ customer builds learning exactly what high-performance, high-load e-bikes need to survive — and we've engineered the MPUV to do work that lighter platforms can't touch. The 3,500W mid-drive isn't a marketing number; it's the torque you need when the rear rack is loaded to 250 pounds and the trail tilts up. The USA-made frame isn't a slogan; it's quality control on every weld, every junction, every cable routing decision.

And the platform is just the beginning. A complete accessory ecosystem is in development for launch — racks, mounting systems, lighting, panniers, and mission-specific kits engineered specifically for the MPUV chassis. This isn't a bike with bolt-on aftermarket parts. It's a system.
