The Results Are In: the HPC Trailblazer is still the highest-performing enduro e-bike

The votes have been counted across the country this week, so we ran a count of our own. The results are in: by unanimous decision, the Trailblazer is still the highest-performing enduro e-bike on the market. No runoff, no recount, no waiting on late ballots. Here is the official tally, and why the race was never close.

Torque and power are HPC dyno figures for the V2 2000W motor. Travel is 160mm front with 155mm of rear frame travel. Speed and range vary by build, battery, rider and terrain.

Why the vote was not close

Torque you can feel. When we put the Bafang M560-based V2 motor on the dyno, the Trailblazer made 190Nm of peak torque and 1.83kW of peak power measured at the rear wheel. That second number matters. It is the power left after the drivetrain, which is what pushes you up a loose climb.

A chassis built to use it. The full-carbon frame keeps the bike light enough to pedal like a mountain bike. A base 750W Trailblazer with the standard battery comes in at 51 lbs including the battery system, which is remarkably low for this level of power.

Suspension that was tuned, not borrowed. We worked with DVO Suspension during frame development to refine the kinematics, and both the fork and shock run full custom factory tunes. The result is 160mm of plush front travel and 155mm out back that stays composed when the power comes on.

Control on your terms. Torque-sensing pedal assist gives a natural, bike-like feel. An on-demand thumb throttle takes over power delivery when you want it, and 11-50T gearing gets you up steep pitches even on throttle alone.

No recount needed. The votes were cast on the trail: on every steep climb, every fast descent and every dyno pull. Season after season the verdict has not changed. Nothing in its class puts power down like a Trailblazer.— Derek, Hi Power Cycles

Hand-built in the USA

Every Trailblazer is hand-assembled to order in Simi Valley, California. Your bike is built around your weight, your terrain and the way you ride, with suspension tuned to match. Hi Power Cycles has been building high-performance electric bikes in the USA since 2008, and the Trailblazer is the result of all of it.

Ride responsibly

A 2000W Trailblazer goes far beyond the legal definition of an electric bicycle. High-power builds are for off-road use only: private land, closed courses and approved off-road areas. California law and the rules in many other states do not allow them on public roads, bike paths or trails that limit e-bike class. If you ride where e-bike classes apply, ask us which build fits the rules there. Always wear full protective gear and check the rules where you ride.
